@bugoutfever Bigwowo wrote about this before IIRC. There’s definitely a large amount of brainwashing. Other factors include the:
● absence of the many sordid chapters of Asian American history (genocidal wars, Opium Wars, Japanese concentration camps in North America, massacres of Chinese coolies, Watsonville riots, McCarthyism, etc).
● Black vs White focused narratives. This focus even largely hides the suffering of Native Indians who arguably have it worse than Blacks, but few seem to know or care.
● Model minority myth that presents all Asians as some prosperous monolith who should be grateful for what they have. This also doubles as a meat shield for whites so other disenfranchised minorities attack us for “taking from them”. Deluded Asians don’t understand this and end up thinking they’re just like whites, which means they’re “guilty” for crimes of white people.
