Ads in Asia: White Worship Everywhere

  • Level 3 - Captain

Examples of using white faces in ads. The nature of advertisements is to send subliminal messages. What sort of subliminal messages are being sent to Asians by using white models and white faces?

Notice that when an ad does have Asians mixed in, the Asian woman is with a foreign man and the Asian man is doing something to serve the foreign man.

  • Just want to post this here because it’s related to the topic at hand. Check out this super cringe-worthy ad:

I DON’T UNDERSTAND WHATSOEVER why it can’t be AMAF (Japanese guy/Japanese girl), especially since this ad’s target audience was for Japanese people. Why is a geeky white guy the main star of the ad and more importantly, why does he have to be married to a Japanese woman? They might as well go all out with their white worship and have a completely white couple instead.

(Sucks that I drive a Toyota. Now I might have to switch to Honda).

@arcterex There’s inertia but also lots of current brainwashing thanks to Western media. The other major factor is growing pains due to development lag - at least, when it comes to products.

Years ago, China had quality control problems, but those have largely been resolved. Just recently, I saw this…

For the first time, local Chinese brands are equal to international brands in a measurement index meaning they are now in many ways perceived as equally competitive, new research found.

In 2010, multinationals scored 115, while Chinese brands scored only 89.

A decade ago, international brands were synonymous with quality in the minds of certain Chinese consumers. They offered status and bling, while local brands could only aspire to being ‘good enough’.

Uncertainty consumers in China once felt toward domestic products is gone. Local brands are challenging and beating global competition and consumers increasingly believe they are comparable, according to Millward Brown.

Global brands lose advantage in China: report - China.org.cn:

Having said that, China and other Asians still need a stronger media game.

Whites = “higher standard”. Inertia from past. Unless there is a cultural countervailing force, everything will remain the same.

I’ve seen this shit in Korea too. Honestly American media is too popular in East Asia which is why East Asians are even a little brainwashed by America media. One time I was talking to one of my friends and her daughter (who is living in Korea) apparently loves Frozen. I was like “dafuq why does she like that honkey shit” but somehow it’s popular in Korea. Fuck that stick to Jjanguu or Dooley why watch some gay shit from America.

@thethirdcycle said in Ads in Asia: White Worship Everywhere:

This has more to do with economics than anything else. Making money for the business is top priority, and it just so happens that Asians are in the mindset that whites are more aesthetic or classy. Even if the marketing executive is patriotic, which is incredibly rare, the board of directors will have him know that profit comes first.

I agree, sad but that is the reality.

  • If the companies that issue those magazines in Asia are actually being run by Asians, then that’s heartbreaking that they actually bought into brainwashed BS that whites are more attractive, therefore are more deserving to be on ads.

On the flip side, if those companies are being operated by whites then that’s also a big concern. If they’re being run by whites, then that would mean they’re pretty much forcing eurocentric beauty ideals onto Asians even in their own countries. I would interpret that as a lack of respect for the host country.

Wow, I never realized how pervasive the white worship is.

Why are Asians cucking themselves like this? Isn’t it bad enough that whites promote this Afwm to divide and conquer Af and Am?

Why are Chinese doing this? Are they ignorant or is the self-hatred and white worship that strong?

I almost never see the opposite pairing in Western media - especially in a romantic setting.
